The main type of adoption today is called an “open adoption.” As the biological mother, you have a role in determining how much contact you have with the adoptive family and your child.
Parenting Plans come in all shapes and sizes. With ongoing support from Bethany Christian Services and New Hope Family Services (an adoption referral), you can help create a parenting plan for your child. This parenting plan allows you to choose those who would have the parenting guidelines you would like for your child. PRCV will provide you with a referral to one of these (some) NYS licensed agencies at your request.
